PK-3 Preliminary Credential Field Experience

A total of at least 25 hours of pre-program field experience is required and MUST be completed by the time applicants apply to the program. 

The field experience must comply with the following guidelines:

• 25 hours  must be spent with a group of students at PK-3 grade level. One-on-one observation hours will not count towards this requirement.
• Observation must include an educational component. The students must be engaged in a learning activity. This activity can be sports, arts and crafts, dance. etc.
• Hours must be completed within the past two years from the time of application to the program. 

Experience that is not done in a classroom should first be approved by the Credentials and Graduate Admissions Office to ensure it will meet the admissions guidelines.
